Following are the list of Family Visas under various Immigration and Visa Programme in Australian Immigration Program.
Partner Visa: Onshore Temporary and Permanent
This visa will allow you to live and enter in Australia on the basis of your de facto relationship or married with your partner:
- on a temporary visa
- on a permanent visa
Your partner must be one of the following to sponsor you
- an Australian citizen
- an Australian permanent resident
- an eligible New Zealand citizen.
Prospective Marriage Visa
Prospective Marriage Visa allows you to enter Australia and marry your fiancé within the validity of period. For this your fiancé must be
- an Australian citizen
- an Australian permanent resident
- an eligible New Zealand citizen.
Aged Parent (Residence) Visa
This particular visa is for elderly parents. This allows old parents to live permanent in Australia, with their children who are living in Australia. With this you need to sponsor by your children in Australia. Remember, at the time of visa application your children must be a permanent resident of Australia. You must be old enough to claim Australian old age pension to be eligible for this category of Parent Visa. The age of the applicant should be at least 65 years.
More on, you must be able to show one of the following:
- At least half of your children are Australian permanent residents
- Your more children living in Australia as permanent residents
- Should be satisfying certain requirements by your partner and other family members in your visa application.
Contributory Aged Parent (Residence) Visa
This visa allows aged parents to remain in Australia permanently with their children who are living permanent in Australia and are ready to pay an additional application fee to wrap probable health costs. This visa needs that you be sponsored by your child or other qualified sponsor in Australia.
More on, you must be able to show one of the following:
- At least half of your children are Australian permanent residents
- Your more children living in Australia as permanent residents
- Should be satisfying certain requirements by your partner and other family members in your visa application.
Child Visa
Child Visa is available for children under 25 years. This visa allows a child to live permanent in Australia with their parent. The parent must be a permanent citizen of Australia or eligible New Zealand citizen. With that, parent must proceed as sponsor for the child and can file the visa application on behalf of the child.
Child Visa allows the holder to:
- Live permanently in Australia
- Visa holder can travel to and from Australia for five years
Orphan Relative Visa
This is a permanent visa for overseas children whose parents are not able to care for them. This is valid for children under 18 years of age. It also allows a child who is an orphan relative to stay in Australia.
This Visa allows the visa holder to:
- Live permanently in Australia
- Holder cab travel to and from Australia for five years
Dependent Child Visa
This visa is eligible for a child or stepchild whose parents have a temporary partner visa has not yet been granted a permanent partner visa.
This means that the dependent child's parent must have one of the following visas:
- temporary Partner visa
- temporary Spouse visa
- temporary Interdependency visa
Remaining Relative Visa
This visa is eligible for those people whose near relatives are permanent citizens of Australia or eligible New Zealand citizens. This visa requires you to be sponsored by a qualified relative in Australia.
This visa is eligible for you if
- You have a sister, brother, sister, parent who is an Australian permanent resident, Australian citizen or eligible New Zealand citizen regularly resident in Australia
- You and your partner have no sisters, brothers, parents, non-dependent children, other than those in Australia.
- Your partner and other family members may be included in your application if they meet certain level of requirements.
